Original paintings
Paintings from my studio in Portland, Oregon. Some are made with pigments I forage from the land. Every piece is an original, signed on the back and ready to hang.
Terra Chromata
This art series explores an earthen palette with pigments foraged from the land, expressed on raw canvas. Hand ground hues from rocks and clay found by the rivers and coast in Oregon or charcoal from local wildfires have been incorporated into unique acrylic mediums. I also collected black walnuts, acorns and oak galls from the land and brewed them into one of a kind inks. My intent is to explore a deep connection between art and the earth itself, highlighting the vibrant hues found in nature.
Forests
Paintings of the forest in moss green, black and white, acrylic on canvas.
A Change Within
A Change Within finds stillness and peace within the flows of warm neutral colors.
Australia Series
Colorful botanical paintings in acrylic and ink, on canvas and on paper.
